Kerrville Kayak & Canoe

Help Kerrville Kayak & Canoe bounce back from the July 4th floods by turning kayaks into community art.

The idea is simple: kayaks become art. Local businesses, artists, and community groups can “adopt” a kayak and decorate it however they want, and they will be placed around town for everyone to see.

Think of it like when San Antonio had the giant boots, or the “cow parade” in other cities except ours is all about kayaks. People can walk around, follow a map or scavenger hunt, snap photos, and donate along the way.

At the end, we’ll bring all the kayaks together for a big community celebration. Picture a night with live Texas music, BBQ and chili plates, raffle baskets, and a live auction where the decorated kayaks get their moment to shine.

All of this comes back to one purpose: helping rebuild Kerrville Kayak & Canoe’s fleet after the floods and making sure Corey and the community he serves stays afloat for years to come!

Ways To Get Involved

You Can Adopt a Kayak

When you adopt a kayak, your business, school, or group logo will be displayed alongside it and included in event materials.
Adopting a kayak doesn’t mean you have to decorate it yourself — you can, but if you’d rather not, we’ll assign a local artist to design it for you.
If you’d like a certain theme or idea represented, we’ll match you with an artist who can help bring your vision to life.

Are you an Artist? Sign up to help create some masterpieces

If you’re an artist, school, or community group that would like to volunteer your creativity, please register to be matched with a kayak.
Designs can highlight Hill Country culture, Texas pride, resilience, or whatever inspires you!

Community Display

Decorated kayaks will be placed around Kerrville — at businesses, schools, parks, and other gathering spots — for several weeks.
Each display will include the sponsor’s name/logo and a QR code for donations.

Celebrate With Us At The Grand Finale Event

Live music, BBQ/chili plates, raffles, and a live auction.
Decorated kayaks and paddles showcased for the whole community.
